How much does an agentic commerce platform cost?

StartShop.ai pricing: Free $0/month, Growth $99/month, Pro $499/month, Enterprise custom. What agentic commerce costs cover and what to ask vendors.

By StartShop Editorial

StartShop.ai has four plans: Free at $0 per month, Growth at $99 per month, Pro at $499 per month, and Enterprise with custom pricing. It lets you sell to human shoppers and AI agents from the same store, connected to Shopify, WooCommerce or StartShop Native. You can start free and upgrade later.

What merchants actually pay for in agentic commerce

"Agentic commerce" bundles several things that used to be separate purchases. Before comparing prices, it helps to know which of these you are actually buying:

  • A shopping assistant for human buyers. Chat, voice or video help that finds products, answers questions and guides people to checkout.
  • Agent-facing commerce APIs. Endpoints that let AI agents discover your catalog, request quotes and check out, over protocols such as A2A, MCP and Google UCP.
  • Integration with your store. A connection to the commerce backend you already run, so your catalog, inventory and pricing stay where they are.
  • Governance. Controls over which agents can do what: scoped API keys, rate limits and audit logs.
  • Optional extras. For example, virtual try-on for fashion, or in-room product preview for furniture and home goods.

Some platforms price these separately; others bundle them into plans. Whatever the model, the useful question is the same: which of these five do you need now, and which can wait?

StartShop.ai plans

StartShop.ai publishes four plans on its site:

PlanPrice
Free$0 / month
Growth$99 / month
Pro$499 / month
EnterpriseCustom

StartShop.ai is one platform: a shopping assistant for human buyers and agent-ready commerce endpoints, connected to Shopify, WooCommerce or StartShop Native. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing section. StartShop Native is a built-in storefront for merchants who don't have a commerce backend yet.

Enterprise pricing is custom. The route is to book a demo.

The site's own line on how to use the plans is short: start free, and upgrade when your agents are driving real sales.

Free vs paid: what to check before upgrading

A free plan is the cheapest way to answer the question that matters most: do your shoppers and AI agents actually use it? Before you move to a paid plan, check four things against the plan details on the StartShop.ai pricing section:

  1. Which surfaces you need. Chat only, or voice and video as well. Different plans include different surfaces.
  2. Whether agent traffic is real yet. If no AI agent has requested a quote from your store, the agent-API side can wait.
  3. How much conversation volume you expect. Plans differ in usage allowance; read the current allowance on the pricing section rather than relying on a summary.
  4. What support you need. Self-serve, or a support channel and service level.

If the honest answer to most of these is "not yet," stay on Free and revisit after a month of real traffic.

Hidden costs to ask any vendor about

Plan prices are only part of the bill. Whichever agentic commerce platform you look at, ask these questions before signing:

  • Usage charges. Is anything metered on top of the plan (conversations, minutes, agent calls)? What happens when you run out: does the service stop, slow down or bill an overage?
  • Integration work. Does connecting your store take a plugin, or developer time? Who maintains it when your platform updates?
  • Checkout and payments. Does the platform run its own payments, or use the payment rails you already have? Who carries the liability for an agent-initiated order?
  • Protocol coverage. Which agent protocols are supported today, and which are "planned"? Standards are still moving.
  • Governance included. Are scoped keys, rate limits and audit logs part of the plan, or an add-on?
  • Contract terms. Monthly or annual? Is there a minimum term or a setup fee?
